This illustration shows an example of adding shared objects to an existing Oracle Streams single-source replication environment.

Additional configuration at the source database includes:

• Supplemental logging specifications for the added shared objects

• Each additional shared object prepared for instantiation

• Appropriate rules for the added objects included in the rule sets for the capture process and/or synchronous capture, and for the propagations

Also, the source database has existing database links for existing propagations.

Additional destination database configuration includes:

• Instantiation SCN set for each additional shared object

• Appropriate rules for the added objects included in the rule sets for the apply process

The environment can include additional destination databases.
